Ride On teaches adaptive horseback riding to children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities and we provide physical and occupational therapy specializing in using the movement of the horse to improve specific medical conditions.
Founded in 1994, Ride On has given over 116,000 safe, effective and individualized lessons and therapy treatments and currently serves 225 individuals each week in Chatsworth and Newbury Park.
Trailfest is hands down our most favorite event of the year! On Saturday, December 21st, we will be taking a team of horses, staff, volunteers, and students on a unique opportunity to experience an exciting and beautiful trail ride out of Rancho Potrero Community Equestrian Center in Thousand Oaks.
Dozens of dedicated volunteers will help our riders throughout the day, keeping busy with tack changes, leading horses, providing support for riders with poor balance, and ensuring a safe, fun experience as they ride the trails.
Every rider that raises at least $75 in sponsorship will enjoy an amazing trail ride at Rancho Potrero. Riders will also receive a unique Trailfest t-shirt. Our trail riders will then enjoy arts, crafts, and lunch sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to benefit the riders and horses at Ride On.
